Short answer: four bosses are named in official achievement text — the monstrous droop, the goblin king, Woldroot the Path Guardian and Aelwynor. Mudtek has published no health values, movesets, locations or drop tables for any of them, and this page does not invent any.
Where these names come from
None of the four boss names appear on the Steam store page. They come from the descriptions attached to Steam achievements, which are official unlock conditions written by the developer.
Method Official achievement text
The Steam achievement page for app 2402680 lists each achievement with a description. Four of those descriptions name a boss encounter directly, and the completion percentages come from Steam's GetGlobalAchievementPercentagesForApp endpoint.
Achievement names are matched to percentages by internal identifier rather than list order, because the achievement page and the API order tied percentages differently at capture time.

This matters practically. Any site that lists Dimraeth bosses without naming Woldroot or Aelwynor is working from the store page alone. Those two names exist only in achievement text.
The four named bosses
| Boss | Official achievement | Official unlock text | Completion |
|---|---|---|---|
| The monstrous droop | Blob Slayer | Kill the monstrous droop | 100.0% |
| The goblin king | Long Live the King | Defeat the goblin king | 1.2% |
| Woldroot the Path Guardian | Uprooted | Defeat Woldroot the Path Guardian | 0.2% |
| Aelwynor | The Hart of the Forest | Defeat Aelwynor | 0.1% |
Read the completion column carefully. It is not a difficulty ranking, but it is informative.
The monstrous droop is unavoidable. At 100.0%, every tracked player has killed it. It is the encounter the opening quest chain leads to, which is why it also appears in the beginner sequence.
The goblin king is a wall. The drop from 7.1% (completing The Broken Bridge quest) to 1.2% (defeating the goblin king) is one of the sharpest declines in the whole achievement set.
Woldroot and Aelwynor are late-game. At 0.2% and 0.1% they sit in the same band as reaching Level 20 and completing the final main quest, which places them at the far end of the launch content.
What completion percentages are not. These are counts of how many owners have the achievement, captured one day after launch. They measure how far the audience has progressed, not how hard a boss is. A low number on launch week says more about the size of the audience than about the encounter.
The monstrous droop
The only boss every tracked player has defeated, and the only one whose role in the game is fully clear: it is the payoff of the opening sequence.
What is known: it exists, it is described officially as “monstrous,” and killing it grants an achievement. The name “droop” suggests a low, sagging form, but that is inference from a name rather than published information, and we label it as such.
What is not known: location, moveset, health, resistances, drops, or whether it is optional.
The goblin king
Named in the achievement “Long Live the King — Defeat the goblin king.”
Two official facts give context. Mudtek’s 2 September content update lists “the Goblin Caves” as one of two new regions added for Early Access, and the Earlwood lore mentions a period called the Goblin Crisis during which the blacksmith Manga earned the village’s respect.
Note Goblin connection
The Goblin Caves are a confirmed Early Access region. A goblin king is a confirmed boss. Connecting them is reasonable but is an inference, not an official statement — Mudtek has not said the goblin king is in the Goblin Caves.

Woldroot the Path Guardian
The most distinctive name of the four, and the one with the least supporting material.
“Woldroot” reads as a compound of wold (an old word for a wooded upland) and root. “Path Guardian” is presented as a title, which is unusual among the four — the monstrous droop, the goblin king and Aelwynor are all named without an epithet.
Not confirmed Everything beyond the name
Location, encounter type, moveset, loot and whether Woldroot is a required or optional boss are all unpublished. The title “Path Guardian” implies it guards a route, but Mudtek has not said so.

Its completion rate of 0.2% places it alongside reaching Level 20, which suggests it sits late in Act 1. That is a positioning inference from achievement clustering, not a statement from Mudtek.
Aelwynor
The only boss whose achievement name carries a hint about its identity.
Official Achievement text
Achievement: “The Hart of the Forest — Defeat Aelwynor.” A hart is a mature stag, which points toward the forest imagery surrounding the Wildwood and its Forest Kings.
Source: Steam achievement page · captured 16 September 2026
Mudtek’s Earlwood devlog provides the surrounding lore: “The Wildwood is a fractured land of many small kingdoms, each ruled by a Forest King — ancient spirits of nature, be they Dryads, Treants, or stranger powers still.”
Aelwynor is not named in that post. What can be said is that Aelwynor is a boss, its achievement invokes a stag, and the game’s fiction establishes Forest Kings as nature spirits ruling divisions of the Wildwood. Identifying Aelwynor as a Forest King is a reasonable inference, but it is an inference.
Not confirmed Aelwynor's identity
Mudtek has not stated that Aelwynor is a Forest King, nor which region it appears in, nor whether it is the major boss of the Wildwood. We record the connection as a hypothesis because the achievement name is suggestive, and we do not present it as fact.

Mini-bosses
Beyond the four named bosses, Dimraeth tracks a separate category.
Official Achievement text
Achievement: “Bounty Hunter — Defeat 10 different mini-bosses.” The wording “10 different” confirms at least ten distinct mini-boss encounters exist, and the word “different” rules out repeated kills of the same enemy.
Source: Steam achievement page · captured 16 September 2026
Mudtek’s playtest summary referenced “Bounties” among the content types available, and the achievement for clearing tiered deeds sits at Tier 1 with completion at 100.0%. Mini-bosses are therefore likely tied to the bounty and deed systems rather than to the main story, though the connection is not stated officially.
At 0.0% completion, no tracked player had defeated ten mini-bosses at capture time.
Region bosses
Mudtek’s 2 September content update states that Early Access adds “New world bosses: Major bosses for each region.”
That confirms a structural rule: each region has a major boss. With the Goblin Caves and an expanded Wildwood among the Early Access regions, that implies at least two region bosses are in the launch build. Whether the four named bosses in achievement text include all region bosses is not stated.
| Category | Confirmed count | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Named bosses | 4 | Achievement text |
| Mini-bosses | At least 10 distinct | Achievement text |
| Region bosses | One per region | Content update, 2 Sep 2026 |
| Elites | Exists as a category | Content update, 2 Sep 2026 |
On boss imagery
This page does not show a picture of any named boss, because Mudtek has not published one. The screenshot above is an official boss encounter image from the Steam store page, but Mudtek does not identify which boss it depicts.
That distinction is deliberate. Official screenshots exist showing boss-like encounters — a large creature in a cavern surrounded by soul-flame enemies, a black-furred boss with a red mane in a crystal cave — and the on-screen name plates visible in some are player character names, not enemy names. Attaching a boss name to one of those images would be a guess presented as evidence.
If you need boss strategy, wait for player data or an official post. Mudtek's combat devlog states each boss “is built with unique mechanics and deadly abilities,” and that weapon skills and rare modifiers are still to come. As player consensus forms, real strategies will emerge; until then, any site claiming detailed boss move lists for Woldroot or Aelwynor is writing from imagination.
